Pomodoro timer

Classic Pomodoro: twenty-five minutes of focus, five minutes of break, a longer rest after four blocks. Change the lengths, turn the sound off, and leave the timer running in the background — the remaining time shows in the tab title.

How it works

Pomodoro in five sentences

  1. Pick one thing to work on — not three.
  2. Start twenty-five minutes and touch nothing else until the bell. If something lands, write it down and go back.
  3. When it rings, stand up and do nothing useful for five minutes. The break is part of the method, not a reward.
  4. After four blocks take a longer break, fifteen to thirty minutes.
  5. If a block gets interrupted, it does not count. That is not a punishment — it is a measure of how much uninterrupted time you actually get.
